What does “verified” mean?
Every host verifies their ID before listing, and our team reviews each listing before it goes live. A listing whose photos stop loading is taken out of search until they are fixed.
What will I pay?
The nights plus our 3% service fee, shown line by line before you pay. If the host sets a refundable caution deposit, it is shown separately. No cleaning fee or VAT on top.
How do I pay?
By card through Paystack, or from your Shortlet wallet. Some hosts also let you pay at the property; the listing says so before you book.
What if the home isn’t as described?
Tell our support team on WhatsApp or by email straight away, and message your host in the app. Refunds follow the listing’s cancellation policy and our refund policy.
When do I get my deposit back?
After checkout, back to the payment method you used. How long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card issuer; most refunds land within a few business days.
